Hidden behind a gate in the botanical garden in Paris you can find a small section called Le Jardin Alpin. It was built in 1931, in an early vision to gather the whole world in one place. You can find over 3000 plants represented in small botanical dioramas. The plants come from as different places as Japan, America, Mexico and the Balkans and are placed outside their native environment, drifting. Even though they survive in their new country, they might be longing for home.
